Privacy

Your books never leave your device. This page explains exactly what that means, and what little data exists at all.

Last updated 18 July 2026

Every tool on this site runs inside your browser. When you convert a file, the work happens on your own machine using JavaScript this page loaded — the file is read from disk, transformed in memory, and handed back to you as a download. It is never sent to us, because there is nowhere for it to be sent to.

This is not a promise about how carefully we handle uploads. It is a statement that uploads do not happen. You can verify it: open your browser's developer tools, switch to the Network tab, and convert something. You will see no request carrying your file.

What we collect

Nothing. There are no accounts, no analytics, no tracking pixels, no advertising scripts and no cookies. We do not know who you are, what you converted, or that you were here at all.

What is stored on your device

Two things, both local to your browser and neither transmitted anywhere:

Style Studio settings

Your typeface, size, spacing and theme choices are kept in sessionStorage so they survive a page reload and apply to the next book you open. They are discarded when you close the tab.

Converted books awaiting styling

When a conversion produces an EPUB and you continue into Style Studio, the finished book is placed in IndexedDB so the next page can pick it up — two separate pages cannot share a file in memory any other way. Entries are deleted automatically after an hour, and you can clear them at any time through your browser's site-data settings.

Fonts and other assets

All fonts are served from this site rather than from Google Fonts or another CDN. No third party learns that you visited, and nothing here makes a request to a domain other than this one.

Formats we deliberately do not support

We do not convert to MOBI or AZW3. Doing so would require sending your book to a server running Amazon's toolchain, and we would rather not offer a tool that quietly works differently from every other one here. Those pages explain the alternatives instead.

Server logs

This site is static files served by a host. Like any web server, that host may keep standard access logs — IP address, user agent, which page was requested — for operational and security purposes. That is a property of being on the internet at all, and it never includes anything about your files, because your files are never part of a request.

Your rights

Data protection law gives you rights to access, correct and erase personal data held about you. We hold none, so there is nothing to access, correct or erase. Clearing this site's data in your browser removes the two local items described above.

Children

This site is safe for anyone to use. It collects no data from any visitor, regardless of age.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it. Any change that weakened the core promise — that files stay on your device — would be announced on the homepage, not buried here.
